Job summary

Ladder is seeking a SecOps/AppSec Engineer to own vulnerability management across development lifecycles. Your backend is Clojure, so you’ll review code and apply shift-left security practices while collaborating with engineers on fixes.

The role also covers cloud security monitoring, risk assessments, and assisting with compliance audits. Strong problem-solving and writing skills are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on experience coding in Clojure and working within the JVM environment.
• Cloud SecOps experience and incident response exposure.

Responsibilities

• Secure the Code (Primary): Champion application security vulnerability management with development teams.
• Security Ops: Monitor and tune cloud security posture using SIEM/SOAR/CSP/CNAPP tools.
• Governance & Risk: Conduct security reviews and risk assessments for architecture, vendors, and APIs.
• Maintain and optimize workspace security, managing IAM, device compliance, and productivity tools.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and practical risk decisions at scale.
