Ladder is seeking an Applications Security Engineer to own application security vulnerability management within our development lifecycles. You will partner with engineering teams in a high-scale Clojure environment, balance secure coding, and drive shift-left security practices while monitoring cloud security posture and responding to incidents.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering and/or cybersecurity experience.
• Hands-on in a JVM environment with functional code familiarity.
• Experience securing modern cloud infrastructures and incident response.
• Able to perform security risk reviews and audits.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CISSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure the code across a high-scale Clojure ecosystem and assist remediation.
• Configure and monitor cloud security posture using SIEM/SOAR/CNAPP tools.
• Conduct governance and risk assessments for internal architecture and third parties.
• Maintain workspace security, IAM, device compliance, and secure productivity tools.
• Mentor engineers on secure coding practices and secure defaults.
