Job summary

Ringside Talent is seeking an Application Security Engineer for a client. This remote role is open to Ohio-based candidates and emphasizes partnering with developers to ship safer software without slowing them down.

You will secure web apps, APIs, and mobile apps, perform SAST/DAST, apply OWASP Top 10, and strengthen Azure deployments, while embedding security into CI/CD and shaping DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security of web apps, APIs, and mobile apps across the SDLC.
• Experience with SAST and DAST tools and helping developers remediate findings.
• Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10, CWE, and secure coding practices.
• Experience securing applications in Azure or comparable enterprise cloud platforms.
• Experience embedding security testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborative communicator who can partner with software engineers.
• Must be located in Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Secure web applications, APIs, and mobile apps at all SDLC stages.
• Run SAST/DAST and help triage and remediate findings.
• Apply OWASP Top 10, CWE, and secure coding practices to design decisions.
• Strengthen security of apps hosted in Azure and similar cloud environments.
• Build automated security tests into CI/CD pipelines as part of DevSecOps.
• Advise engineering teams on secure architecture and fixes.
• Track emerging threats and tooling to improve the team.
• Contribute to the growth of the organization’s application security program.
