Job summary

Bekaert’s Bridon division seeks an Application Engineer to strengthen our North American commercial team. This hands-on role puts you at the tech frontier of wire rope applications across crane and industrial markets.

You will be the technical backbone for the sales force, perform field inspections, resolve quality issues, and drive rope design trials while expanding Ropes 360 services and training partners across NAM.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in mechanical, mining, or materials science with relevant field experience.
• 7+ years in wire rope applications or heavy equipment field service.
• Experience with cranes, draglines, rope shovels or drilling rigs preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA/ISO inspection standards and non-destructive testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical resource for the sales team during customer visits and demos.
• Investigate quality claims and provide root-cause analysis reports.
• Conduct on-site inspections of rope systems and heavy equipment components.
• Lead rope design trials and grow Ropes 360 service deployment in NAM.
