Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Appian Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade applications. The role requires strong Appian expertise, SQL proficiency, and experience in Agile and SAFe environments. This is a remote position with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

The candidate should have 3+ years of hands-on Appian development (v17.x+), a Bachelor’s degree, and U.S. Citizenship. Ideal certifications include Appian Associate/Senior/Lead Developer.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required by federal contract rules.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of professional experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Appian development (v17.x+).
• Proficiency in SQL and Relational Databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure complex enterprise applications using Appian components (SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Web APIs).
• Design and implement secure integrations using RESTful APIs and authentication patterns.
• Perform SQL data modeling and database design.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Appian applications for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• AI & Automation: exposure to AI technologies, AI/ML/LLM integration, and Appian AI.
