Job summary

Maximus is seeking a skilled Appian Developer to design, develop, and deliver enterprise-grade applications with a focus on deep Appian expertise and strong SQL within Agile/SAFe environments. This is a remote position in the United States, requiring eligibility for a Public Trust clearance.

Candidates must be a U.S. citizen with a Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of overall professional experience, including 3+ years in Appian development (v17.x+)."

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to Federal contract requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of professional experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on Appian development experience (v17.x or higher).
• Proficiency in SQL, Relational Databases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and configure complex enterprise applications using Appian components (SAIL, Process Models, Records, Reports, Web APIs).
• Design and implement secure integrations using RESTful APIs and authentication patterns.
• Perform SQL data modeling and database design.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize Appian applications for performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• AI & Automation: familiarity with AI technologies, AI/ML/LLM integration, generative AI solutions, Appian AI.
