Job summary

TOPPAN Packaging Americas seeks an Application Development Manager for the Flexibles Division. You will be the main technical contact between customers and TOPPAN, overseeing development and technical service activities at assigned accounts and markets.

You will lead pilot, production trials, translate requirements into TOPPAN specifications, and coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver cost-effective, safe, and sustainable packaging solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science, preferably in Engineering, Food Science, Packaging, or Plastics related field.
• Strong material science knowledge and understanding of flexible packaging materials.
• Experience in new product development, packaging applications, project management, and customer relationships.
• Deep understanding of retort, hot fill, and other challenging packaging contexts is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as main technical contact between customers and TOPPAN Packaging Americas.
• Lead technical activities to expand sales of flexible packaging structures and improve product performance.
• Translate customer requirements into TOPPAN specifications and manufacturing instructions.
• Coordinate pilot, production, and filling/packing trials and publish trial reports.
• Build strong technical customer relationships and drive cross-functional collaboration.
• Develop project plans, define success criteria, and manage fast-paced projects with high visibility.
