Job summary

LMI Government Consulting is seeking an Android Engineer to join our mobile team. You’ll write Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and work with RFID hardware to ship secure features for Zebra Android devices in a DoD context.

This hands-on role involves offline data handling, secure storage, and collaboration with backend and frontend teams to ensure robust syncing and a great user experience. U.S.-based remote work with some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Android app experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with hardware integrations (RFID, barcode scanning) and offline data handling.
• Familiarity with DoD-oriented environments and security considerations.

Responsibilities

• Build features and maintain the Android app for Zebra handhelds.
• Work across multi-module codebase with backend (.NET) and frontend (Vue.js).
• Implement offline data handling and secure storage.
• Participate in code reviews and quality improvements.
