Qualifications

• 0–2 years of professional Android development experience or equivalent
• Familiarity with Kotlin and modern Android app development
• Experience with Jetpack Compose or interest in learning it
• Basic understanding of Kotlin coroutines and Flow
• Familiarity with Android architecture concepts, DI, and local data storage
• Interest in hardware integrations such as RFID readers, barcode scanners, sensors
• Willingness to learn cybersecurity, DoD deployment requirements and secure development practices
• U.S. Citizenship required and ability to obtain a Secret clearance

Responsibilities

• Build new features and maintain the Android application for Zebra handheld devices
• Work within a multi‑module Android codebase with other developers
• Write clean Kotlin and Jetpack Compose code interacting with RFID, barcode, and sensor data
• Implement offline data handling, local caching, and secure storage solutions
• Collaborate with backend teams to support reliable syncing and a consistent UX
• Assist with testing, debugging, and troubleshooting field device issues
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve quality and reliability
• Learn Android development best practices and security patterns across the app
