Job summary

LMI Government Consulting seeks an Android Engineer to enhance our RFID mobile app for Zebra devices. You will write Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, integrate hardware SDKs, and ship secure features for production in DoD environments.

You’ll collaborate with backend (.NET) and frontend teams, test edge cases, and participate in code reviews to ensure reliability in rugged hardware contexts. This role requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of Android app development with Kotlin, coroutines, and flows.
• Strong Jetpack Compose knowledge including recomposition and performance tuning.
• Experience with Dagger Hilt and Android Room for offline‑first apps.
• Interest in hardware integrations (RFID, barcode scanning).
• Willingness to learn cybersecurity, app hardening, and DoD constraints.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build new features and maintain our Android app for rugged Zebra handhelds.
• Work in a multi module code base and collaborate with backend/frontend teams.
• Write clean Kotlin/Jetpack Compose code that interacts with RFID, barcode, and sensor data.
• Implement offline data handling, local caching, and secure storage.
