Job summary

5V Video is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to design and build flexible front-ends for phone, tablet and TV form factors. You will own technical design on projects of moderate complexity and contribute to a fast-growing, profitable video technology company.

You will work remotely from anywhere in the United States, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-impact features using Kotlin, MVVM/MVI patterns and modern Android tooling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Android development in production.
• Strong Kotlin proficiency and Android SDK knowledge.
• Experience shipping apps to Google Play end-to-end.
• Familiarity with MVVM, Jetpack Compose, and testing strategies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality Android apps using Kotlin.
• Implement UI from Figma to pixel-perfect design.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver features on time.
• Build reusable components and SDK modules across form factors.
• Integrate REST, WebSocket, and gRPC APIs.
• Participate in code reviews and CI/CD setup.
• Debug and optimize performance across devices and OS versions.
• Stay current with Android trends and testing best practices.
