Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is hiring a healthcare coder to support facility and ancillary coding, applying ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes to ensure accurate reimbursements. You will meet established quality and productivity standards in a production environment, with AHIMA/AAPC credentials and at least 1 year of ICD-10 and ancillary experience.

This remote position allows telecommuting from anywhere in the U.S.; pay ranges from $20 to $36 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package and compliance

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• AHIMA or AAPC credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC/CPC-H) required.
• 1+ years of ancillary experience.
• 1+ years of ICD-10 experience.
• Knowledge of NCCI/MUE basics and facility modifiers.

Responsibilities

• Codes ancillary facility encounters such as clinic, recurring accounts, lab, therapy, and radiology.
• Confirms documentation supports code selection and resolves facility edits and APC impacts.
• Applies ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes.
• Meets established quality and productivity standards in a production environment.
