Job summary

The Washington State Health Care Authority seeks an Analytics and Projects Team Supervisor to lead division-wide initiatives. This remote role supports Apple Health Services and Operations, supervising analysts and coordinating complex programs impacting Medicaid policies and service delivery.

You will guide strategic analyses, manage critical projects, and partner with executive leadership to steer performance and policy implementation.

Qualifications

• Supervisor Experience: at least one year of supervisory experience.
• Enterprise Process and Organizational Improvement: lead major evaluations and develop solutions with long-term impact.
• Enterprise Performance and Data Strategy: establish analytical and performance-management approaches.
• Major Project and Initiative Leadership: lead highly complex cross-functional projects with high visibility.
• Expert-Level Strategic Analysis: lead complex analyses with significant organizational impacts.
• Strategic Problem Solving and Executive Decision Support: evaluate issues and provide strategic recommendations.
• Strategic Policy and Impact Analysis: evaluate laws and policies and advise leadership.
• Executive Consultation and Communication: translate complex information into strategic options for executives.
• Strategic Leadership and Organizational Influence: guide cross-functional analytical efforts and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the project manager on division-wide Medicaid-related projects.
• Facilitates large internal and cross-divisional stakeholder workgroups to improve processes and user experience.
• Coordinates statewide projects to implement policy or system changes for Medicaid access and eligibility.
• Facilitates division-wide process improvement initiatives.
• Acts as legislative coordinator for division bill analysis and tracking.
• Identifies impacts and risks of proposed legislation on Medicaid clients and providers.
• Provides expert consultation to senior management on resources, priorities, and planning.
• Identifies problems and recommends improvements to operating processes.
• Plans, assigns, and reviews staff work to achieve objectives.
• Evaluates staff performance and prepares appraisals.
• Assesses training needs and arranges or provides instruction.
