Job summary

The NBA is seeking an Analytics Engineer, WNBA, to transform data from first- and third-party systems into standardized analytical datasets that support reporting, advanced analytics, AI product development, and data enablement.

Reporting to the Business Intelligence Platforms Lead, this role will serve as a subject matter expert for WNBA fan, subscription, engagement, and viewership data, including related tools and partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field.
• 5+ years of analytics engineering or data modeling experience.
• Experience building analytic data models and dashboards for self-service reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and development of analytical data models for reporting, analytics, and AI.
• Lead the WNBA data foundation by integrating fan identity, subscriptions, engagement and viewership data.
• Develop scalable, reusable datasets and semantic layers with documented business definitions.
• Establish data quality testing, monitoring, and governance in collaboration with teams.
• Collaborate with Data Science and Analytics to support experiments and AI initiatives.
• Onboard new data sources with internal and external partners to expand capabilities.
