Job summary

The WNBA is seeking an Associate Manager to coordinate financial reporting and analytics for the teams, supporting the Team Finance group during the annual business cycle. The role involves reviewing team projections, audits, and preparing executive-level summaries.

You will analyze team performance data, run variance analyses, and assist with ticket and league reporting. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Office tools is required; CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
CPA preferred, not required.
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in public accounting, financial planning & analysis, corporate finance, or other strategic finance role.

Responsibilities

Collect team projections, vet the information, perform variance analysis, and ensure reporting consistency among the teams.
Run benchmarking analyses on teams' projection submissions and provide valuable insights to team and league personnel.
Assist with ticket reporting for team/league distribution on a weekly basis and review to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
Serve as contact for various league deliverables such as team billing requisitions and communications to teams.
Assist with the team audit process, acting as a liaison between team financial representatives and external auditors.
Research accounting guidance as necessary to assist teams.
