Job summary

Ensemble RCM is seeking an Analytics Engineer to transform curated data into analytics-ready models powering dashboards and decision-making. You will bridge data engineering, analytics, and business ownership of the semantic layer, ensuring trusted metrics and intuitive data usage.

The ideal candidate has deep SQL, dimensional modeling skills, and dbt experience. Healthcare domain familiarity helps, and remote work is supported with on-site travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in analytics engineering, analytics, BI, or related role.
• Advanced SQL expertise with complex, maintainable transformations.
• Hands-on dbt experience.
• Product or application engineering experience is a plus with data usage understanding.
• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, metrics design, and semantic layer concepts.
• Experience supporting BI tools and downstream analytics use cases.
• Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in healthcare-related operations, with understanding of industry processes and terminology.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain analytics-ready data models (facts, dimensions, data marts).
• Develop and manage transformations in the semantic and transformation layer using SQL-based tooling.
• Define and maintain metrics, business logic, and calculations for dashboards and analyses.
• Apply dimensional modeling best practices for BI consumption.
• Collaborate with product, operations, finance, and stakeholders to translate requirements into data models and metrics.
• Act as steward of business logic with clear, documented definitions across teams.
• Identify gaps or inconsistencies in metrics and drive alignment to standards.
• Optimize data models for clarity, usability, and performance for analysts and self-service BI users.
• Support analysts and BI developers for faster, reliable dashboards and reports.
• Ensure analytics outputs are intuitive, discoverable, and trusted by decision-makers.
• Implement data quality checks and testing at the analytics layer.
