Job summary

Tantalus Systems, a technology company enabling utilities with TRUConnect AMI deployments, seeks a Field Project Manager. This role reports to the Manager, Project Management, and is part of the Customer Operations team, overseeing deployments at customer sites.

Based remotely in the United States, you will travel up to 50% and coordinate with utilities, vendors and internal teams to plan, execute and deliver projects from initiation to commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced certification in Project Management, Operations Management, Engineering (Computer, Electrical or Systems), or related field
• 6+ years managing operation, deployment and/or installation of large IT/telemetry/controls projects
• Customer/stakeholder management experience
• PMP designation preferred
• AMI/AMR, RF or Wireless communications experience is an asset

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, monitor, and control projects from initiation through to delivery and commissioning
• Support customers in solving complex problems, provide customer training and technical on-site support
• Provide leadership to multiple stakeholders to define requirements, establish system design, coordinate deliveries and report to customers
• Oversee systems integration - work with customer utilities in integrating TRUConnect AMI to other utility vendor systems
• Negotiate, implement, and supervise subcontracts
• Regularly review and report on project performance to management and other stakeholders
