Job summary

Ferguson seeks an AMI/AMR Project Manager to lead municipal water meter projects, supervise subcontractors, and coordinate site visits. The role is remote with up to 50% travel to client sites, primarily in the Southwest market. Ideal candidates live in Southern California; candidates in AZ, NV, CO, NM, TX, UT will be considered.

Most work is conducted virtually. Responsibilities include managing projects to scope and budget, reporting KPIs, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience.
• 5+ years of industry and product knowledge.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to lead and empower teams.
• Tech proficiency with computers, tablets and mobile devices.
• Advanced Excel knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from start to finish within scope and budget.
• Recommend products and services aligned with client needs.
• Execute project plans per the organization's PM methodology.
• Establish and maintain sales relationships with major accounts/customers.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and quality service.
• Supervise progress and resolve operational issues; minimize delays.
• Define project scope with partners and clients; perform calculations.
• Conduct project meetings and prepare regular status reports.
• Allocate resources and assign tasks to meet targets.
• Provide high-level support to program/project managers to ensure plans are followed.
