Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an AI Tutor for Amharic to train and refine Grok's voice and language capabilities. This temporary role focuses on Amharic pronunciation, natural phrasing, and cultural nuance, with work spanning annotation, translation, and audio data creation.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to improve multilingual datasets, ensuring high-quality speech for a global product used around the world. Remote work is available with travel to SpaceXSI sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Amharic at CEFR C1 level or higher.
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Annotate, label, and provide feedback on multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, and speech samples using proprietary tools
• Translate and localize text (UI copy, prompts, responses, and other content) from English into Amharic, with attention to accuracy, natural phrasing, and cultural fit
• Help produce clear, natural audio data that accurately captures linguistic and prosodic details such as intonation, rhythm, and accent
• Collaborate with technical staff to refine annotation guidelines and tools for handling accents, background noise, speech variation, and multilingual audio
