About This Role

Think Academy's Middle School Math Competition team is seeking a part-time, remote teaching assistant to support our AMC10 students during class and after class. Responsibilities include guiding students, encouraging their academic growth, and developing their problem-solving skills.

Your Responsibilities as an AMC10 Teaching Assistant Include:

• Ensuring the class runs smoothly, answering student questions, communicating absences to parents, and creating a conducive learning environment.
• Reminding students to submit and grading homework, guiding them to office hours, and assisting with inquiries from students or parents.
• Providing timely, constructive feedback on student work to promote improvement.
• Maintaining our WeCom parent group throughout the semester.
• Recording video explanations for homework problems.
• Editing textbooks and other learning materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field; advanced degrees or AMC10 experience preferred.
• Fluent in English and Chinese for communication with team members and parents.
• Passionate about education and student success.
• Responsible and responsive, capable of remote work.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate students.
