About This Role

Think Academy's Middle School Math Competition team is seeking a part-time, remote teaching assistant to support our AMC10 students during class and after class. The teaching assistant will guide and motivate students to develop their academic potential and problem-solving skills.

Your Responsibilities As an AMC10 Teaching Assistant Include

• Ensuring the class runs smoothly, answering student questions, communicating absences to parents, and creating a conducive learning environment.
• Reminding students to submit homework, grading assignments, guiding students to office hours, and addressing questions from students or parents.
• Providing constructive feedback on student work to promote improvement.
• Maintaining our WeCom parent group throughout the semester.
• Recording video explanations for homework problems.
• Editing textbooks and other learning materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees or AMC10 competition experience are highly preferred.
• Fluent in English and Chinese for communication with team members and parents.
• Passionate about education and committed to helping students reach their potential.
• Responsible and responsive for remote work.
• Availability on weekends is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
