About This Role

Think Academy's Middle School Math Competition team seeks a part-time, remote teaching assistant to provide in-class and after-class support for our AMC10 students. The teaching assistant will guide students to develop their academic potential and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

1. Ensure the class proceeds in an orderly manner, answer student questions, communicate absences to parents, and create a conducive learning environment.
2. Remind students to submit homework, grade assignments, guide them to office hours, and assist with questions from students or parents.
3. Provide timely, constructive feedback on student assignments and performances for continuous improvement.
4. Maintain our WeCom parent group throughout the semester.
5. Record video explanations for homework problems.
6. Edit textbooks and other learning materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field; advanced degrees or AMC10 experience preferred.
• Fluent in both English and Chinese for communication with team members and parents.
• Passionate about education and helping students achieve their potential.
• Responsible and responsive, capable of remote work.
• Weekend availability is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate students.

Benefits

• Non-Teaching Fee: $16-20/hour, covering class prep and after-class tasks.
