Job summary

Dignity Health Medical Foundation, a California nonprofit health system, seeks a Pharmacy Coordinator for ambulatory clinic support, focusing on access to prescribed medications and patient assistance programs. You will interact with care teams, payers, and manufacturers to secure medication access while delivering excellent customer service.

The role is remote for California residents; equipment is provided to work from home, including a laptop and dual monitors.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience with pharmaceutical/drug assistance programs.
Experience in pharmacy/medical insurance coverage.
In lieu of the above, related work in a retail pharmacy, healthcare clinic or hospital environment.
Excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Interface with ambulatory care team, pharmacies, payers and drug assistance programs to secure access to medications.
Process medication prior authorizations and support patient access to medications.
Assist patients with understanding insurance benefits and act as liaison with assistance programs/providers.
Manage renewals of medications and eligibility for patient assistance programs.
Work with manufacturers to maintain up-to-date assistance program requirements.
