Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group is seeking an Ambulatory CDI Specialist to join our team. This remote position requires residency in KY or IN and involves evaluating medical documentation to ensure precise coding and medical necessity.

You will identify HCC codes and provide education to providers and staff while traveling for internal meetings as needed. The role requires knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, CPT II modifiers, HCPCS, CMS/HHS HCC, and experience with Epic or other major EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Requires 2+ years professional medical group coding experience.
• Proficient with ICD-10-CM, CPT, CPT II rules, HCPCS, CMS/HHS HCC coding.
• Experience with Epic or other major EMR systems and presenting to staff.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate documentation to ensure coding specificity and medical necessity.
• Identify HCC codes and ensure alignment with risk adjustment.
• Provide guidance/education to providers, medical assistants and staff on documentation best practices.
• Willingness to travel and attend internal meetings while working remotely.
