Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist to evaluate physician documentation and ensure the severity of illness is accurately portrayed in the medical record to support precise coding. This remote role requires residency in KY or IN.

You will guide clinicians on documentation best practices and adapt to changing workloads while meeting deadlines. An active RN license in KY is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred or an Associate’s with substantial nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Kentucky
• Bachelor's degree preferred with 3 years acute health care nursing (including 1 year in clinical documentation) or Associate's degree in Nursing with 5 years acute health care nursing
• ACDIS CCDS or CDIP strongly encouraged
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical record organization
