Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Inpatient Coder to join our team in a fully remote role requiring residency in Kentucky or Indiana. The coder will ensure accurate inpatient coding to support physician and hospital outcomes, staying current with Coding Clinic and AHA guidelines.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree or CCS credential with inpatient coding experience; RHIA/RHIT or CCS certification is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EHR and encoder tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; CCS is acceptable in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years inpatient coding experience preferred if CCS not held.
• CCS, RHIA or RHIT certification required.
• Microsoft Office, EHR and Encoder experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality inpatient coding for accurate reporting.
