Job summary

LAC Federal seeks an experienced Alma Platform Manager to provide senior technical support for a federal library environment. You will administer Ex Libris Alma, automate workflows with Python, manage metadata and data integrations, and oversee change control and monitoring to ensure secure, reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Ex Libris Alma Library Services Platform and related configurations.
• Experience with Python-based ingestion, transformation scripts, and external system integrations.
• Understanding of metadata schemas and data governance in library environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and change-control governance.
• Strong documentation skills and ability to produce runbooks and release notes.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Ex Libris Alma and related system configurations.
• Monitor Alma jobs and data workflows affecting ingest, indexing, and publishing.
• Maintain Python-based data pipelines for automated ingestion and indexing.
• Manage full change lifecycle including sandbox testing and rollback planning.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and maintain governance compliance.
• Maintain dashboards, monitoring, and incident management for operations.
• Support business continuity, backups, and release windows with Alma.
• Diagnose cross-system metadata and data-flow issues across systems.
• Create technical documentation and collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
• Produce operational metrics and support reporting cycles.
