Job summary

AVTECH Global (Aviation Technology Associates, LLC) is seeking an Aircraft Certification Engineer — Aerodynamics to lead airworthiness certification for MCDA programs. You will serve as SME for aerodynamic model development, and coordinate FAA Part 25 and MIL-HDBK-516C compliance with government and prime contractor stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering.
• 15+ years in aircraft certification related to aerodynamics.
• Experience with FAA type certification or STC programs.
• DER authorization in one or more disciplines.
• Tier 1 Investigation clearance or DoD contract experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME level understanding of aerodynamic model development and stability/controls.
• Serve as technical SME for aircraft certification, ensuring FAA MIL-HDBK-516C compliance.
• Develop, review and execute certification plans for MCDA programs.
• Interface with military authorities and DER/DAR representatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal certification processes.
