Job summary

Accuity is seeking an AI Engineer to design and operate AI systems supporting clinical documentation and revenue cycle workflows. You will build production services using LLMs, intelligent agents, and retrieval systems, ensuring reliability, security, and governance.

The role collaborates with Data Science and Platform Management to move validated AI approaches into production, while maintaining compliance with PHI and Accuity policies. Remote work is supported with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or a related technical field is required.
• PhD in computer science, AI, ML, or related field is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in software, AI/ML, or platform engineering with ownership of production systems.
• Hands-on experience developing and operating LLM applications, AI agents, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Strong Python proficiency with AI/ML libraries, vector search, tool integration, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Experience deploying and maintaining AI/ML systems with CI/CD, monitoring, and production controls.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production AI systems using LLMs, ML models, and intelligent agents.
• Develop agent workflows with tools, retrieval, outputs, and human approvals.
• Integrate AI with internal apps, data sources, APIs, and approved external services.
• Create reusable AI services with stable interfaces for application teams.
• Develop retrieval-augmented generation systems and knowledge pipelines.
