Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with clients and rapidly design, build, and deploy AI, data, cloud, and digital solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, leading workshops, translating business needs into scalable architectures, and owning delivery from concept through production. This remote US position offers flexibility and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software engineering, solution architecture, or customer-facing engineering experience.
• Strong programming in Python, Java, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Go.
• Experience building cloud-native solutions on Azure/AWS/GCP with APIs and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and requirements while acting as a trusted technical advisor.
• Lead discovery workshops, assessments, and solution envisioning to map needs to scalable architectures and roadmaps.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native apps, APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
• Build and implement Generative AI, Agentic AI, ML, and RAG solutions, including AI copilots and intelligent workflows.
• Own technical delivery across client initiatives, driving production readiness and measurable outcomes.
