Cognizant is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to partner with clients and rapidly design, build, and deploy AI, data, cloud, and digital solutions that drive measurable business outcomes. You will collaborate with stakeholders, architects, data scientists, and engineering teams across engagements in the United States.

The role emphasizes advisory work, cloud architectures, and enterprise integrations, with a focus on Generative AI, ML, and RAG pipelines and a strong emphasis on producing

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering or solution architecture experience.
• Strong programming in Python/Java/C#/JS/TS/Go.
• Experience building cloud-native solutions on Azure/AWS/GCP including APIs, microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and driving projects from concept through production deployment.
• Excellent client-facing communication and consulting skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with client stakeholders to understand objectives and translate them into architectures.
• Lead discovery workshops and solution envisioning sessions to translate needs into scalable roadmaps.
• Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native apps, APIs, microservices, and enterprise integrations.
• Build Generative AI, Agentic AI, ML, and RAG solutions, including AI copilots and intelligent workflows.
• Own technical delivery across client initiatives to ensure rapid iteration and production readiness.
