Job summary

Inova Health System is seeking an AI Product Manager to own the systemwide AI product portfolio and multi-year roadmap. This full-time, remote-friendly role supports improvements in safety, quality, and patient outcomes across clinical and operational systems.

You will lead cross-functional teams through the AI lifecycle using agile methods, ensure compliance with HIPAA and security policies, and partner with IT, clinical, analytics, and vendor teams to deliver measurable value.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management in healthcare or related field.
• 3+ years leading AI/ML products (GenAI/RAG) in a regulated environment.
• Epic certification (Resolute HB/PB, Prelude, Cadence) required.

Responsibilities

• Owns systemwide AI product portfolio and multi-year roadmap with quality, safety and clinician experience metrics.
• Drives innovation to improve workflows, patient outcomes and system performance.
• Ensures AI initiatives comply with IT architecture, priorities and regulatory standards.
• Leads cross-functional teams through full AI lifecycle using agile methods.
• Oversees vendor selection, data pipeline development and implementation.
• Integrates AI tools into Epic, ERP and CRM systems.
• Acts as liaison between IT, clinical, analytics and operations.
• Translates technical requirements into business cases for executives.
• Promotes user adoption through training and change management.
• Ensures HIPAA, cybersecurity and model governance compliance.
• Privacy by design and security by design; plan for PHI safety in RAG/GenAI; collaborate with Security, Compliance and Legal.
• Defines post-deployment surveillance, triggers retraining and KPI reporting.
• Manages model retraining, decommissioning and lifecycle; owns budgets and vendor agreements.
• Leads continuous improvement of AI tools and processes.
