EPAM Systems seeks an AI leader to drive innovation and delivery across our Financial Services and Insurance portfolio. You will oversee the full lifecycle of AI solutions, from ideation to production, shaping strategy and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities include advancing AI offerings, mentoring staff, and building new capabilities in a fast-evolving market while delivering value to clients from a remote work model outside New York.

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading data science or ML teams in financial services or related sectors.
• 5+ years in a leadership role with people management responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Hands-on experience in at least one domain: CV, NLP, recommender systems, or time series analytics.
• ML engineering and production delivery experience, including MLOps and cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, or agentic orchestration tools.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Understanding of the modern AI product lifecycle and data science engineering.
• Consulting experience in a professional services environment.

Responsibilities

• Shape AI vision and go-to-market offerings with clients and internal teams.
• Manage end-to-end data science, AI, and agentic projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary workshops and design sessions with customers.
• Develop high-quality proposals in collaboration with SMEs and consultants.
