Job summary

Seneca Resources Company, LLC is seeking a FullStack Engineer III to build AI-powered search experiences, frontend components, and scalable backend services. You will work across the full development lifecycle from rapid prototyping to production deployment, focusing on performance and relevance.

The role emphasizes cloud-native architecture, ML-driven user experiences, and collaboration with product and AI teams to deliver impactful search solutions. Remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience building applications with Python and React.
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as Next.js, Remix, Vite, Gatsby.
• Experience with Docker, containerized applications, and serverless architectures.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, SOLID, testing strategies, and maintainable code practices.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Strong communication across engineering, product, and architecture teams.
• Comfortable leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable Python services powering search retrieval, ranking, recommendations, and discovery.
• Develop robust APIs and microservices to support high-volume search workloads and customer-facing apps.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and AI teams to translate goals into impactful search solutions.
• Continuously improve search relevance, performance, and engagement via experimentation and data-driven decisions.
• Create reusable frontend components and establish engineering standards to boost productivity.
• Partner with UX/Product to turn wireframes and Figma designs into intuitive experiences.
• Contribute to frontend architecture decisions for long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Implement hybrid search architectures combining keyword, vector, and semantic retrieval with AI ranking.
• Develop and optimize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and LLM-powered search workflows.
• Instrument search systems with meaningful metrics to drive ongoing optimization.
• Build event-driven, cloud-native systems on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) like CloudRun, GKE, Pub/Sub, CloudFunctions.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain production services with modern DevOps and observability practices.
• Own service reliability through testing, monitoring, and operational excellence.
• Participate in architecture reviews, design discussions, and code reviews.
• Mentor peers through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
