Job summary

Lawfare is hiring a program assistant to support the AI Research Program, bridging technical, legal, and policy expertise. You will coordinate logistics for workshops, fellowships, and the Scaling Laws podcast, while assisting with travel, calendars, and admin to keep the program running smoothly.

An ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to help build a growing AI policy program. Salary ranges from $48,800 to $60,000 per year, with health and dental care fully covered,

Qualifications

• This is an early-career position requiring a bachelor’s degree and strong organizational and logistical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams, deadlines, and coordinate with staff, fellows, and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for program convenings and workshops (15-20 participants) across multiple cities.
• Support nonpartisan AI briefings for federal and state legislators and staff.
• Assist with visiting fellowships, onboarding, scheduling, and travel arrangements.
• Support production of the Scaling Laws podcast, including guest coordination and show notes.
• Schedule and promote video and social media content; manage travel and lodging for events.
• Track deliverables, maintain calendars, and support funder reporting and administration.
• Provide general administrative support to the research director and team.
