Job summary

Ally Financial seeks a Fellow AI Offensive Security Engineer to join the Offensive Security team in North Carolina. You will perform penetration tests on AI and use AI to perform penetration tests, working with cybersecurity analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to enhance security posture.

Requirements include 7+ years in cyber security, 3+ years in offensive security, and 2+ years with AI focus; you will report findings, develop automation tools, mentor juniors, and travel up to twice yearly.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cyber security total.
• 3+ years of experience in offensive security.
• 2+ years of experience in offensive security with an AI focus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Pen test AI, LLM-powered systems, machine learning platforms, APIs, and cloud environments.
• Develop tools and scripts to automate AI pen testing and red/purple-team activities.
• Assess security controls surrounding retrieval-augmented generation and agentic workflows.
• Report identified vulnerabilities to cross-functional teams in professional reports.
• Conduct scoping calls with internal clients to determine pen test needs.
• Training junior engineers may be required; travel up to 2 times a year.
