Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking a Fellow AI Offensive Security Engineer to perform AI-augmented penetration testing and develop tools to automate security assessments across systems and cloud environments.

You will work with cybersecurity analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to improve security posture, with potential travel up to two times yearly and a focus on responsible, rigorous testing across AI-enabled platforms.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of cyber security experience.
• Minimum 3 years of offensive security experience.
• Minimum 2 years of offensive security with an AI focus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Bonus qualifications: OSCP, OSEP, OSAI, CRTO, CRTL, CPTS, CAPE, COAE, etc.
• Experience performing adversary emulations.
• Experience working with financial institutions.
• Experience performing physical penetration tests.
• Experience performing social engineering with AI.
• 9+ years of relevant experience; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or similar field or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Pen test AI, LLM-powered systems, machine learning platforms, APIs, and cloud environments.
• Develop custom tools and scripts to automate AI testing and pen testing, purple teaming, and red teaming.
• Report identified vulnerabilities with professional-grade reports.
• Conduct scoping calls with internal clients to determine needs.
• Train junior engineers may be required.
• Potential travel up to two times a year.
