Job summary

Conch Technologies, Inc. is seeking an AI-Native Technical Architect II to lead architectural efforts for complex, regulated healthcare environments. The role blends hands-on solution architecture with cloud-native engineering and AI-assisted development.

You will guide engineering teams, establish governance, and ensure security, scalability, and regulatory compliance across applications, services, and data flows. Remote-friendly with CA locals preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years designing and building web, workflow, service, and backend apps with architecture responsibility.
• Strong application/solution architecture experience including API design and service decomposition.
• Hands-on with Java, Golang, Spring or comparable technologies.
• Experience with microservices, cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, streaming, and enterprise integration.
• Experience with AI-assisted development, AI agents, copilots, code generation, automated testing.
• Strong SDLC, Agile, CI/CD, DevOps, observability experience.
• Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs across cost, scalability, security, maintainability, and delivery speed.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and technical solutions across applications, APIs, services, data flows, and platform components.
• Design and integrate AI-enabled capabilities where they provide business value.
• Lead adoption of AI-assisted development using copilots, code generation, agents, automated testing, and intelligent engineering workflows.
• Establish architecture standards, patterns, design guardrails, and technical governance.
• Guide technical decisions and trade-offs involving cost, scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Partner with developers and technical leads to ensure architecture is effectively implemented.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Security, Data, Platform, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and improve engineering effectiveness through automation, observability, and modern architecture patterns.
• Mentor engineers and architects and promote strong technical and AI-native engineering practices.
• Ensure architecture decisions address healthcare data, workflows, regulatory, security, and compliance requirements.
