Job summary

Cayuse Holdings seeks an AI Native Engineer to join as a remote independent contractor. The role centers on hands-on development of features, agents, skills, and MCP integrations using Claude Code within an architecture defined by senior engineers.

You will build and maintain harness components and address architecture- and systems-level challenges under senior review. This position requires strong AWS delivery experience and frontend/backend capabilities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English, written and spoken.
• Hands-on with Claude Code or similar agentic tooling.
• Timezone overlap of 5 hours with PST (8am–6pm PST).
• Hands-on AWS delivery required.
• Experience with React/TypeScript/JavaScript frontend and Python backend data engineering.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains harness components (retrieval, tool invocation, evaluation, observability).
• Works through architecture- and systems-level problems under senior review.
