Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in ML engineering, data science, or software engineering.
• Strong Python/SQL and production-grade systems experience.
• Experience with ML libraries such as Scikit‑learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
• Experience deploying ML models to production environments with guidance from seniors.
• Exposure to AI/LLM platforms (AWS Bedrock, Anthropic, LangChain, Databricks Agent).
• Familiarity with distributed data processing (PySpark, Databricks, AWS EMR).
• Experience with ML lifecycle tools (MLflow, model registries, monitoring).
• Building APIs/services for model inference (FastAPI, Flask).
• Understanding of software engineering principles applied to ML workflows.
• Experience with healthcare datasets (EHRs, claims, FHIR, HL7).
• Strong problem-solving and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Build, train, and validate ML models with data ingestion, feature engineering, and evaluation.
• Productionize ML/AI models into APIs, batch, and streaming workflows under guidance.
• Develop AI/LLM-driven workflows (document extraction, summarization) with established patterns.
• Assist in RAG components and vector-based retrieval within architecture by senior staff.
• Apply MLOps practices, CI/CD, model versioning, retraining workflows.
• Work with Databricks and AWS services to support training and inference tasks.
• Monitor model performance and troubleshoot architecture-level issues.
• Maintain monitoring/observability tooling for owned models.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers/Scientists/Software Engineers on components.
• Ensure HIPAA and healthcare regulatory compliance in workflows.
• Stay current with AI/ML tools and present options for evaluation.
• Document development, testing, and validation for reproducibility.
