Job summary

Autonomize AI seeks a hands-on AI Engineer to ship real-world AI-powered healthcare solutions. You will build and optimize AI-native systems using LLMs, vision models, and classical ML across structured and unstructured data to enable smarter decisions in high-stakes workflows.

Collaborate with senior ML engineers, product, and domain experts; deploy models to production with a focus on observability, safety, and cost. You’ll move fast from research to production.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in applied ML and LLMs.
• Strong Python skills; experience with PyTorch, Transformers, and LLM tools.
• Familiar with embeddings, vector search, and retrieval pipelines.
• Experience fine-tuning or adapting models; NLP basics.
• Knowledge of model evaluation, observability, and responsible AI.
• Production deployment experience; familiarity with MLOps (MLflow, Docker, Kubernetes).
• BS/MS in CS/Engineering/Data Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build production AI pipelines combining LLMs and classical ML.
• Develop OCR/VLM-based extraction and data structuring from documents.
• Fine-tune models with LoRA and SFT techniques.
• Implement retrieval strategies, prompt chains, and agents for production use cases.
• Create eval harnesses, run error analysis, and quantify accuracy gains.
• Monitor model quality, latency, cost, and safety in production.
• Prototype new techniques and decide readiness for production.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product, and domain experts; document work.
