Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a Director of Security in the United States. This remote-first leadership role guides security strategy across cloud, applications, and governance, risk, and compliance, while building scalable security organizations that enable rapid AI-driven growth.

The role requires leading security operations, risk management, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, legal, and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in security leadership with scaling teams.
• Experience securing SaaS, cloud platforms, or infra products.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute security strategy across cloud, applications and GRC.
• Lead initiatives for SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA compliance.
• Build and mentor security teams across distributed environments.
• Integrate security into the SDLC with threat modeling and automated scanning.
• Strengthen monitoring, logging, and incident response.
• Represent security in executive discussions and due diligence with vendors.
• Expand security automation within CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide architectural security oversight for cloud infra and GPU clusters.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure and SRE for secure provisioning and resilience.
• Measure security metrics and drive continuous improvement.
