Job summary

Highrise AI is seeking a mid-level AI Infrastructure Operations Engineer to provide Tier 2 support for large-scale GPU compute and storage platforms. You will own technical tickets, restore services, investigate recurring issues, and maintain reliable day-to-day operation across production AI clusters.

You will work with NOC, on-site technicians, SRE, and senior engineers to troubleshoot Linux-based compute nodes, GPU systems, and storage services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 3–6 years supporting Linux servers, HPC, cloud, or data center infrastructure in production.
• Practical troubleshooting with enterprise compute hardware and monitoring tools.
• Experience with storage like NFS, distributed filesystems, object storage, performance fundamentals.
• Scripting with Bash or Python for diagnostics and automation.
• Exposure to NVIDIA GPU systems, InfiniBand/RDMA, Kubernetes, Slurm, or AI/HPC storage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage Tier 2 incidents and service requests from triage to resolution.
• Troubleshoot compute, GPU, and storage faults using logs, dashboards, and tools.
• Restore service within SLA targets and document troubleshooting steps.
• Troubleshoot Linux servers, GPU alerts, boot issues, firmware/driver problems, and resource availability.
• Assist with provisioning, reimaging, and maintenance using automation/runbooks.
• Investigate Kubernetes or Slurm node/workload failures with Platform Engineers.
• Perform initial analysis of connectivity or GPU communication symptoms and engage Tier 3 when needed.
• Monitor and troubleshoot distributed storage systems for capacity, throughput, and availability.
• Support operations across file, object, and block storage across sites.
• Assist with upgrades, maintenance, cluster expansions, and validation.
• Maintain asset, config, and ticket records; improve runbooks and knowledge articles.
• Identify recurring incidents and automate tasks with scripts and tools.
• Collaborate with remote and onsite teams to resolve issues safely.
