Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an AI Software Engineer to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable AI applications across the stack. You will work with AI scientists and domain experts to deliver robust solutions and deploy on cloud platforms.

The role involves remote work with occasional travel, 5% travel, and no on-call duties. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate on security and data integration for patient-centric healthcare initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related engineering field is required.
• Five+ years of experience in software and application development.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript and frameworks like React or Angular.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Proven experience with APIs and RESTful web services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy web applications and APIs that meet product requirements.
• Work closely with domain experts, AI/ML scientists, and other engineers to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Drive architectural decisions for new products and services to ensure scalability.
• Write high quality, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members.
• Integrate applications with external APIs and data services.
• Debug, test, and optimize applications.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging trends in software engineering and AI development.
• Collaborate with cyber security to protect sensitive information.
