Job summary

University Hospitals in Ohio is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and deploy AI-powered clinical analytics, collaborating with clinicians and data scientists to predict patient outcomes and optimize treatment pathways.

You will write scalable code in Python, R, PySpark and SQL, leverage Azure Foundry and Microsoft technologies to deliver predictive models, and mentor junior staff while aligning analytics with clinical goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Management, Mathematics or related field (Required).
• Master's Degree in Data Science or Data Analytics related concentration (Preferred).
• 5+ years experience with software development using Microsoft technologies including web application development and/or data science and advanced analytics solutions (Required).
• 3+ years Knowledge in AI technologies and tools, including Microsoft/ Azure Foundry, ML, DL, NLP, applied to healthcare solutions (Required).

Responsibilities

• Leverage Microsoft Technologies (Azure and Foundry) to build state of the art software solutions.
• Design, develop and implement advanced analytics and AI solutions aligning with business objectives.
• Use Python, R, PySpark and SQL to create scalable code.
• Apply analytics to clinical data for outcomes analysis, risk stratification, and predictive modeling.
• Create and maintain data models for large structured/unstructured data.
• Collaborate with clinicians, data scientists, and IT to integrate analytics into healthcare processes.
• Maintain education on analytics advancements and adopt new tools.
• Test, refine, and optimize analytics solutions and models.
• Document code, data flows, models, and algorithms; provide knowledge transfer.
• Incorporate security measures and comply with PHI regulations.
• Train staff in analytics methods and manage change control processes.
