Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. is seeking a Software Architect in the United States (Remote - Eastern/Central Time Zones). You will lead the architectural evolution of our AI-first, enterprise-grade platform, guiding legacy modernization and multi-tenant distributed systems to scale securely.

You will collaborate with product, architecture, security, and cloud teams to deliver scalable solutions. This role requires strong leadership, a data-driven mindset, and a passion for quality and delivery.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a Principal Engineer or Architect role.
• Proven success in platform evolution and re-architecting monolithic apps into cloud-native microservices.
• Well versed in CI/CD in a modern enterprise environment.
• Technical depth in AWS Serverless, GraphQL & RESTful APIs, eventing & messaging, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing data synchronization and replication across distributed systems.
• Demonstrated ability to balance long-term architectural goals with short-term delivery needs.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Nice to have: healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, CCD, EDI) experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture leadership for initiatives with product management and engineering leads.
• Architect IQ platform to accelerate developer velocity, maintainability, lower operating costs, enhanced security, increased performance and scalability.
• Work with Architecture, Engineering Ops, Cloud Infra, and Security leaders to ensure solutions meet requirements.
• Lead automation and engineering initiatives to operationalize enterprise readiness of the Platform.
• Design robust data synchronization, replication, and consistency models across multi-tenant, distributed environments.
• Provide execution strategy, code reviews, and mentorship to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Assist and Enable Raintree development team’s move to Agentic AI-based PDLC.
• Operate with urgency in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment where speed and quality co-exist.
