Job summary

Raintree Systems, Inc. seeks a Software Architect to lead a major architectural modernization.

You will drive the evolution from legacy to AI-first, scalable platforms, overseeing data synchronization across multi-tenant environments and guiding engineers through complex design decisions. In this remote role across US time zones, you’ll collaborate with Security, Cloud Infrastructure, and Product teams to ensure secure, performant solutions while maintaining a strong sense of urgency and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a Principal Engineer or Architect role.
• Proven success in platform evolution and re-architecting monolithic apps into cloud-native microservices.
• Well versed in CI/CD in a modern enterprise environment.
• Technical depth AWS platform in Serverless, GraphQL & RESTful APIs, eventing & messaging, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Experience designing data synchronization and replication across distributed systems.
• Ability to balance long-term architectural goals with short-term delivery needs.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Nice to have: HL7, FHIR, CCD, EDI healthcare data standards and interoperability.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture leadership for initiatives in collaboration with product management and engineering leads.
• Architect IQ platform to accelerate developer velocity, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
• Work with Architecture, Engineering Ops, Cloud Infrastructure, and Security to meet requirements.
• Lead automation and engineering initiatives to operationalize enterprise readiness of the Platform.
• Design robust data synchronization mechanisms across multi-tenant, distributed, and hybrid environments.
• Offer execution strategy, code reviews, and mentorship to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Assist and enable Raintree development team’s move to Agentic AI-based PDLC.
• Operate with urgency to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
