Job summary

Samsara is seeking a seasoned data/AI leader to build and maintain the Finance data foundation and AI workflows, transforming fragmented financial data from NetSuite, Workday, Adaptive, and Salesforce into scalable decision-ready systems.

You will own the data layer, drive forecast and planning capabilities, and partner with Finance, BizTech, PeopleOps and Accounting to deliver reliable insights at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience building and scaling production-grade data pipelines, integrations, and enterprise applications.
• Hands-on experience with large language model (LLM) applications, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, agentic workflows.
• Proficiency coding in Python for scripting, data manipulation, and APIs.
• Experience with SQL databases and data modeling.
• Experience with data platforms and warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) and enterprise systems (NetSuite, Workday, Adaptive, Salesforce).
• Working knowledge of financial planning, forecasting, and close processes to partner with finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the data foundation and AI roadmap for Finance & Strategy, architecting the future state of financial data and systems.
• Design, build, and maintain pipelines and integrations connecting financial systems for seamless data flow.
• Build AI-powered tools across core finance processes, including forecasting, scenario planning, and management reporting.
• Lead cross-functional alignment on system workstreams across Finance, BizTech, PeopleOps, and Accounting.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and drive governance, data quality, and access controls.
• Provide documentation, training, and support to drive adoption across the Finance organization.
