Job summary

Samsara Inc. is seeking a technically skilled professional to lead the Finance & Strategy data foundation and AI systems. You’ll own forecasting, planning, analysis and reporting, partnering with Finance, BizTech, PeopleOps and Accounting to deliver scalable technical solutions.

The role emphasizes building data pipelines across Databricks, NetSuite, Workday, Adaptive and Salesforce, plus governance and adoption across the org. This is open to US-based candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/IS/Finance or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years building data pipelines, integrations and enterprise apps.
• Hands-on with LLM apps: prompt engineering, retrieval Augmented Gen, agentic workflows.
• Python proficiency for scripting, data manipulation, API interactions.
• SQL databases with data modeling and query optimization.
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift and key ERP/CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the data foundation and AI roadmap for Finance & Strategy, shaping the future state.
• Design, build and maintain pipelines connecting financial systems for reliability.
• Develop agentic close workflows and AI-powered automation across finance.
• Lead cross-functional alignment on system workstreams with BizTech and Finance.
• Evaluate emerging AI/data infra technologies and drive impactful innovation.
• Formalize data modeling practices and enable user adoption with docs and training.
• Govern data quality and access controls to improve close cycle and forecasting.
• Model Samsara's cultural principles as the team scales globally.
