Job summary

Aston Carter seeks an experienced Accounting/Finance AI Consultant for a fully remote, 12-week engagement (potential extension). You will assess AI-generated accounting content, create realistic business scenarios, and help improve AI systems used by finance professionals globally.

The role requires 7+ years in accounting/finance, a Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance, and strong written communication. Availability 30–40 hours weekly, US remote-friendly. This contract sits with Aston Carter.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in accounting or finance roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
• Experience in public accounting, corporate accounting, audit, tax, FP&A, or financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and controllership functions.
• Experience with technical accounting topics (revenue recognition, lease accounting).
• Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
• Basic familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, LLM).
• Availability for 30-40 hours per week throughout the engagement.

Responsibilities

• Review accounting and finance scenarios and evaluate AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.
• Assess financial reporting, audit, tax, treasury, and technical accounting content against standards.
• Provide expert feedback to improve quality and reliability of AI outputs.
• Develop realistic accounting and finance case studies based on real scenarios.
• Create clear explanations of accounting principles and practical applications.
• Identify errors, inconsistencies, and gaps in AI analyses and propose improvements.
• Evaluate AI reasoning and decision-making in accounting contexts.
• Collaborate with teams to improve evaluation standards and guidelines.
• Manage priorities independently while delivering high-quality work on schedule.
• Test and review outputs generated by AI and LLM technologies.
